Hormone Balancing flax bread

1 ½ cups (260g) of flaxseeds + extra for sprinkling

⅓ cup (40g) of psyllium husk 

2 tsp of baking powder

½ tsp of baking soda

Pinch of salt

1 cup + 4 tbsp (290ml) of hot/warm water

½ tsp of apple cider vinegar 

1) Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper. Blend the flaxseeds in a blender until they have a coarse, sand-like texture.

2) In a large bowl, whisk together the ground flaxseeds, psyllium husk, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

3) Pour in the water, and the apple cider vinegar.  Stir until a thick dough forms. Use your hands to shape the dough into a small loaf. Place it on the lined baking tray, wet your hands, or put some oil on your hands, and smooth the surface. Sprinkle extra flaxseeds on top.

4) Bake in the oven for 60mins until the loaf is golden brown. Once baked remove from the oven and place on cooling rack.
